TrillerTV, the streaming platform formerly known as Fite, has secured exclusive rights across the UK and Ireland to this year's AFC Asian Cup, which starts today in Qatar.
Under the deal, TrillerTV will broadcast all 51 games featuring Asia's top 24 teams competing in the 18th edition of the tournament from now until Feb. 10 on its TrillerTV+ streaming service.
The deal was brokered by Football Marketing Asia (FMA), the agency responsible for commercial rights sales for the AFC tournament.

The move comes as TrillerTV looks to expand beyond martial arts after acquiring rights to the AFC Champions League, La Liga and Rugby League World Cup in several markets.

Fite was founded in 2015, and since then the platform has grown to 8 million registered users worldwide.
Meanwhile, this year's AFC Asian Cup will be held over 30 days, two more days than the 2019 tournament, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates. AFC claims this is part of its efforts to “enhance the fan experience and the competition's standing and commercial value in Asia”.
Notable players from clubs playing in England's top league, the Premier League, include Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton), Wataru Endo (Liverpool), Takehiro Tomiyasu (Arsenal), Heung-min Son (Spurs) and Hee-chan Hwang (Wolves). The broadcast agreement includes a wide range of AFC events and tournaments over three cycles: 2022-24, 2025-28 and 2029-32.
Saudi Arabia was recently confirmed to host the 2027 Asian Cup. This is the first time the country is hosting the tournament.
